The newly sworn executive chairman of Igboeze North Local Government Council in Enugu State, Hon. Michael Uche Ogalla, has emphasized his commitment to the welfare of the people as he begins to implement his ambitious campaign promises.

In an interview, Ogalla expressed his long-held desire to positively impact the lives of rural dwellers and noted that his recent election to lead the local council area provides the perfect opportunity to do so.

He highlighted the pressing need for good governance and improved living conditions in Igboeze North, stating that his administration will prioritize agriculture, economic growth, youth empowerment, and job creation.

Hon. Ogalla also plans to focus on enhancing healthcare, improving security through community engagement, advancing education, and developing rural infrastructure.

Determined to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and the private sector, he said, “To achieve these goals, we will go out of our way to collaborate with state and federal authorities, build partnerships with private businesses and organizations, and engage members of our communities through regular town hall meetings.”

He further pledged to replicate the vision of Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Peter Mbah, to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

“I call on our honorable councilors to work together in harmony with us and our stakeholders to support our initiatives toward a shared vision of inclusive local governance,” he noted.

While expressing his deep appreciation to all who have entrusted him with this significant responsibility, the new chairman assured that his administration would listen to the concerns and ideas of stakeholders, striving to deliver services aligned with the core values of justice, equity, transparency, and accountability (JETA).
