The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning about a fraudulent website, labari.com.ng, that is using NELFUND’s name and logo to deceive individuals by falsely claiming to offer foreign visa sponsorship. Nasir Ayitogo, Head of Public Relations for NELFUND, clarified that the organization’s mandate is solely to provide educational loans to Nigerian students pursuing studies within Nigeria. NELFUND does not engage in visa sponsorship or related services. The organization has reported the scam to authorities and advises the public to use only official NELFUND channels for accurate information
