NDLEA INTERCEPTS ₦2.2 BILLION WORTH OF CODEINE AT TINCAN SEAPORT

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 1,596 cartons of codeine-based syrup, totaling 319,200 bottles, with a street value exceeding ₦2.2 billion at Tincan Seaport. The drugs, arriving from India, were discovered in two containers. Additionally, the NDLEA apprehended five female traffickers at the Seme border and made further arrests in Edo State involving various illicit substances.
