Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, has expressed his support for Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God following Adeboye’s public apology regarding his previous teachings on tithing.
Pastor Adeboye recently admitted to an error in his past assertion that failure to pay tithes would prevent individuals from entering heaven. He clarified that this claim is not supported by the Bible, emphasizing that the requirements for entering heaven are rooted in living a peaceful and holy life.
In his reaction, Bamiloye acknowledged the challenge Adeboye faced in making this admission. He shared on his Facebook page that it is not easy for someone of Adeboye’s global stature to publicly apologize unless prompted by divine correction. He noted, “Daddy E.A. Adeboye made a statement, and the Lord corrected him before he came out in the open to correct himself at the Lord’s instruction.”
Bamiloye further remarked that Adeboye’s humility in admitting his mistake reflects a focus on eternal values over earthly recognition. He stated, “It takes humility for a man of global status to come out and apologize. Only God could have spoken to such a man.” He reinforced that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble, referencing James 4:6.
