The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Agency, also known as the Task Force, has arrested four individuals believed to be involved in the August 13 attack on a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) vehicle. The suspects, identified as Ilesanmi Kazeem, Ibrahim Lawal, Daniel Abati, and Mohammed Ali, were apprehended following a raid in the Alaba Suru area.

The attack targeted a BRT bus traveling from Mile 2 Terminal to Lagos Island. During the incident, passengers were robbed, and the bus was vandalized. The Task Force, led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Tayo Akerele, emphasized the government’s zero tolerance for such criminal activities and stated that prosecuting the offenders is crucial for deterring future incidents.

The Lagos Command’s ACP (Operation), Emmanuel Oyewole, highlighted that the raid led to the capture of the suspects, with Mohammed Ali, one of the arrested, naming the other suspects. Oyewole condemned the daylight attack and assured that the suspects would be charged in court following the completion of the investigation.

The Lagos State government and law enforcement agencies continue to work towards maintaining safety and security, with a firm stance against crimes and vandalism.
