The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will remove the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Kwankwaso made this statement on Thursday at his Miller Road residence in Kano while receiving a large group of APC defectors who joined the NNPP.
Kwankwaso stated that Nigerians, particularly in the northern region, have grown weary of the current administration and will not tolerate its governance beyond 2027. He emphasized that the APC, which was initially formed to address the challenges of the poor, has failed to deliver, leading to widespread poverty and insecurity.
According to him, despite the APC’s reliance on security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigerians are determined to bring about change. He highlighted that the defection of APC members from key areas such as Dala, Kiru, Gwale, and Dawakin Tofa local governments demonstrates the crumbling support for the party, especially in Kano, which is also the hometown of APC leader Abdullahi Ganduje.
Kwankwaso stressed that the APC has lost touch with the masses, and the growing dissatisfaction will lead to their downfall in the 2027 elections.
