KWANKWASO DONATES ₦50M TO MAIDUGURI FLOOD VICTIMS

Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 election, has donated ₦50 million to support victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, caused by the collapse of the Alau Dam.

Kwankwaso presented the cheque to Governor Babagana Zulum during his visit to the Government House in Maiduguri. He expressed sympathy for the victims, praying for the deceased and those affected.

Governor Zulum thanked Kwankwaso for his continued support to Borno and assured that the funds would be used judiciously for the benefit of the victims.

Kwankwaso’s history of support for Borno includes sponsoring 100 orphans from the state to study in Kano during the peak of the insurgency from 2011 to 2015. He was accompanied by notable NNPP members during his visit.
