Former Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan emphasized the critical importance of unity for Africa’s future development during the 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit in Kigali, Rwanda. Speaking through his representative, Mr. Prince Godswill Edward, Jonathan highlighted that collaboration is the foundation for sustainable progress in business, governance, and security across the continent, stressing that “without unity, nothing works.”

Echoing this sentiment, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, who also attended the summit, called for stronger networks and partnerships among African leaders. Lawal emphasized that “with flexible networks and reliable collaborations, Africa can seamlessly move faster towards fruition,” underscoring the vital role of cooperation in realizing the continent’s aspirations.

The summit, convened by Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe, included panel discussions, plenary sessions, and award presentations. It focused on fostering collaboration among business, governance, and security leaders across Africa. Governor Lawal was recognized as the Transformational Political Leader in Africa, while other notable figures, such as Dr. GD Singh and Adeniyi Victor, CEO of Ivydealz Enterprise Nig Ltd, were also honored for their contributions to business development and leadership.

The event served as a platform to celebrate leadership excellence and promote the growth of Africa’s business and leadership ecosystem, with discussions centered on innovative ideas and responsible leadership as key drivers of the continent’s growth.
