Katsina Gov gives account of how 34 LGAs spent ₦128bn in 1 year

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State disclosed that the local government councils collectively spent ₦128 billion through the joint account system between June 2023 and June 2024. This included allocations for various expenditures such as salaries, pensions, security, projects, instructional materials, scholarships, hajj operations, food palliatives, fertilizers, and agrochemicals. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to respecting the rule of law and urged citizens to comply with legal norms. Governor Radda also highlighted the ongoing challenges posed by socio-economic issues and insecurity in frontline local governments, stressing the need for unified efforts to address these challenges.
