Charles Ogbu, a prominent activist and critic, has strongly criticized Nollywood actor Yul Edochie for his recent statements regarding his late colleague, Junior Pope.
Ogbu slammed Yul, labeling him as the most insensitive person between 2023 and 2024. His condemnation came in response to Yul’s post alleging betrayal by Junior Pope, despite Yul’s support during difficult times.
Yul had stated that he refrained from commenting until after Junior Pope’s burial, intending to reveal details of the alleged betrayal afterward. However, Ogbu found Yul’s remarks nonsensical and insensitive, expressing his disapproval on Facebook.
He emphasized that Yul’s comments were unwarranted, especially considering the recent passing of Junior Pope and the grief surrounding his funeral. Ogbu’s criticism underscores the need for sensitivity and respect when discussing sensitive topics, particularly in the wake of a tragic loss.
Junior Pope tragically lost his life in April alongside three others in a boating accident in Anambra State while returning from a film location. He was laid to rest in his hometown of Ukehe, Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State last week.
