Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwalu Danlladi Sankara, has strongly denied accusations of illicit sexual involvement with a married woman, calling the allegations a political attack orchestrated by unnamed adversaries.
In a statement released on Friday, Sankara refuted the claims, emphasizing that they were baseless and aimed at tarnishing his image. He described the situation as a political witch hunt and urged the public to disregard the “fabricated story.”
The scandal gained traction after reports surfaced that Sankara had been arrested by Kano’s Hisbah operatives, following a complaint from Nasiru Bulama, the husband of the woman in question, Tasleem Baba Nabegu. The Hisbah board confirmed Sankara’s arrest in connection with the matter.
Sankara, however, firmly stated, “As a married man, I have the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and would never engage in actions that violate its sanctity.” He reiterated that the story was concocted by political opponents to damage his reputation.
