Following the success of its inaugural edition, premium liqueur brand Jägermeister has successfully wrapped up the second edition of its nationwide Bar Staff Contest, aimed at rewarding exceptional bartenders across Nigeria.
This initiative reaffirms Jägermeister’s commitment to engaging its target audience while celebrating bartenders who consistently exceed expectations in their craft.
Participants were required to meet specific sales targets and provide verified documentation to qualify for the competition. Key conditions included achieving weekly sales of standard Jägermeister 70cl to reach a target of 1,000 bottles and submitting verified documentation of these achievements during the competition’s timeframe.
Emerging as the winners of this edition are Adetayo Akinniyi from MATRIX Lounge in Oyo and David Ovakpo from Dplug Lounge in Benin. Both bartenders surpassed the sales target, each selling over 1,000 Jägermeister bottles, and were awarded a combined cash prize of eight million naira.
Adetayo Akinniyi expressed his gratitude, stating, “Winning this award is like mixing the perfect cocktail. I am thankful to Jägermeister for recognizing and rewarding my dedication to my craft. This is an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to further growth in my profession.”
David Ovakpo echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I am overjoyed! Jägermeister’s recognition of my passion for bartending motivates me to continue my hard work and creativity behind the bar. Thank you, Jägermeister.”
