IGP KAYODE EGBETOKUN VISITS BORNO STATE TO COMMISERATE WITH FLOOD VICTIMS

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun visited Borno State to express sympathy with those affected by recent floods.

Accompanied by Deputy Inspectors General of Police Bala Ciroma and Ede Ayuba, as well as AIG Airwing Danladi Lalas, IGP Egbetokun met with Governor Babagan Zulum, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, and other dignitaries at the Government House. He conveyed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the Nigerian police force and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring adequate security for the state’s residents.

The IGP pledged to repair damaged police facilities in the affected areas. Governor Zulum thanked the IGP for his support and praised his leadership.

Later, IGP Egbetokun addressed police officers, stressing the importance of professionalism and dedication. He urged them to support the government in providing relief and restoring normalcy to Borno State amidst the disaster.
