Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Chibuike, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, is planning to return to his childhood aspiration of becoming a Catholic Priest.
In his Instagram story, the close friend of singer Davido revealed that he had always wanted to be a Catholic Priest, often attending the Blessed Sacrament with his late mother. He shared that he was admitted to Seminary school but couldn’t complete it, noting that while many are called, few are chosen.
Cubana Chief Priest believes his religious upbringing wasn’t in vain, attributing his blessings to those early experiences. He expressed deep sorrow that his mother, who introduced him to the faith, isn’t alive to see his success. He asked for her to rest in peace and mentioned his intention to recommit to his faith, feeling he had strayed for too long and had failed in teaching his children. He emphasized his desire to fortify his family against those wishing him harm.
Reflecting on his past, he said, “Growing up, I wanted to be a Catholic Priest. I attended the Blessed Sacrament with my late mother. I got into Seminary school but couldn’t conquer because many are called, but few are chosen. The sacraments, masses, and religious practices blessed me, but the greatest pain is that my mother, who brought me to Mother Mary, isn’t here to witness it. Rest in peace, Mom. I’m returning to traditional Catholicism. I’ve been astray and failed in teaching my kids. It’s time to refortify myself and my family against those who want me down.”
Cubana Chief Priest’s journey back to faith echoes that of other public figures. Last year, actor Yul Edochie embraced his calling and launched The Salvation Ministry, and singer Cynthia Morgan turned to prophecy after her music career faltered. Similarly, in June 2023, Anita Joseph revealed her prophetic family background while addressing critics of her religious transformation.
