Former Big Brother Naija housemate Kiddwaya recently shared a troubling incident on his Instagram, revealing that his villa in Ibiza was burglarized for the second time. The incident occurred around 3 am, resulting in the theft of approximately 70,000 Euros and a Birkin bag belonging to one of the guests.
Expressing his dismay, Kiddwaya recounted a similar incident in 2022 when valuables including a watch and cash were stolen during his stay at the same villa. He cautioned fellow Nigerians, especially those traveling to Europe and opting to stay in villas, to exercise extreme caution due to what he described as organized theft operations involving various individuals from cleaners to taxi drivers and even local law enforcement.
In his advice, Kiddwaya emphasized the importance of heightened security measures such as employing private security personnel, having private drivers instead of using local taxis, and being vigilant about who has access to the property. He also warned about potential risks associated with hired help like maids who may have insider knowledge of guests’ belongings.
His message serves as a stark reminder for affluent travelers to take proactive steps to safeguard themselves against such incidents while abroad.
