House of Ga’a, directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters, has been leading Netflix Nigeria’s most-watched films chart since its release on July 26, 2024. The film, set in the 18th century, delves into the political intrigue of the Oyo Empire and follows the story of Ga’a, a power-hungry figure orchestrating betrayal within the empire.
Between August 5 and August 11, 2024, House of Ga’a was the top film among Nigerian viewers on Netflix.
The film’s success was followed by:
