Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has publicly apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries, acknowledging that she defamed him through false allegations. In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Abubakar expressed deep remorse for the distress her actions caused Suleman and his family.
In her apology letter, she stated, “I am writing to you to acknowledge the falsehood I made against you on social media and to offer my sincere apologies. After deep reflection and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realized the depth of the harm and distress caused by my lies.”
Abubakar admitted to making unfounded allegations and expressed regret for the impact of her words on Suleman, his wife Dr. Lizzy Suleman, and the Omega Fire Ministry leaders. She humbly asked for forgiveness, recognizing that her apology could not undo the pain caused.
She wrote, “With this letter, I humbly ask for forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain, and distress I caused. I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me as I was not thinking right then. Sir, you have done a lot for humanity. Please extend your hands to forgiveness towards me.”
Concluding her message, Abubakar reiterated her sorrow, saying, “Once again, sir, I am truly so sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and ministry. Thank you very much, and may the heavens calm your heart. God bless you, sir.”
