“NFF President Gusau Mourns Former CAF President Issa Hayatou”
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, has expressed condolences following the death of former CAF President Issa Hayatou. Hayatou passed away in Paris just before his 78th birthday after a lengthy illness.
He led CAF from March 1988 to March 2017, leaving a significant impact on African football. Gusau praised Hayatou’s leadership and integrity, extending prayers for his eternal rest and strength for the African football community to cope with the loss.
