Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended his congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s birth.
In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor urged Muslims to use this celebration to pray for peace and prosperity both in the state and across the country.
Governor Oborevwori acknowledged the severe economic and security challenges Nigeria is facing and emphasized the need for collective, sincere prayers to address these issues. He called on Muslims to follow the Prophet’s example by fostering peaceful coexistence and promoting good leadership.
He expressed his heartfelt wishes to Muslims in Delta State, Nigeria, and around the world, hoping that the spiritual lessons from the Prophet’s teachings on piety, love, justice, and tolerance will positively impact the nation.
The Governor concluded by wishing that the celebration brings joy and unity to every home and helps in fostering a stronger commitment to peace and stability in the country.
