GOVERNOR DR. AGBU KEFAS ANNOUNCES SIX-MONTH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION INITIATIVE IN TARABA STATE

Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas has launched an ambitious six-month project to construct and furnish primary and secondary schools across the 16 local government areas of Taraba State. The initiative will employ innovative building technology to ensure the creation of durable and effective learning environments.

At Jauro-Yinu Primary School, Dr. Kefas kicked off the training for 100 selected youths in new building technologies provided by South African firm Hydraform. The state has acquired machines for producing Hydraform bricks, and the training will equip the youths with valuable skills in this technology.

Dr. Kefas stated, “These state-of-the-art machines will revolutionize our building processes. We are committed to constructing modern, well-equipped schools across all 16 LGAs within six months to provide a conducive learning environment for our children.”

Key aspects of the project include:

  • Free Education: Provision of free education supported by upgraded infrastructure.
  • Job Creation: Training in new building technologies to create job opportunities and reduce poverty.
  • Innovative Building Technology: Utilization of Hydraform machines for durable and cost-effective construction.
  • Statewide Deployment: Deployment of 45 Hydraform block molding machines across the state.

Abdulhakeem Huthman, the country representative for Hydraform, commended Taraba State for leading the way in cost-effective building materials. Education Commissioner Dr. Augustina Godwin also supported the initiative, emphasizing the importance of scaling up manpower in building technology.

This project aims to enhance educational quality and infrastructure in Taraba State, paving the way for a brighter future for its students.
