Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has extended his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah as they commemorate the Islamic New Year 1446 AH. In his message, the governor expressed his heartfelt wishes for a year brimming with blessings for Muslims in Zamfara State and across Nigeria. He urged them to maintain their dedication to prayers, particularly for the restoration of peace.

According to a statement by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Idris, Governor Lawal emphasized that the Islamic New Year marks a moment for introspection about the events of the past years. He stated:

“Today, 1st Muharram signifies the conclusion of the year 1445 AH and the commencement of the new year 1446 AH in the Islamic Calendar. It is an occasion for all Muslims, not only in Zamfara but throughout the country, to remain steadfast in prayers, especially for the return of peace.”

Lawal added, “We all have a collective responsibility towards the advancement of our state and our nation as a whole. I wish all Muslims a year filled with joy, progress, and abundant blessings. May Allah bless and safeguard our state, Zamfara, and Nigeria.”
