The initiative aims to distribute five million tablets across Nigeria, equipping students with technical and vocational skills for the modern workforce. Abiola Arogundade, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Education, emphasized the project’s alignment with President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” During the donation event, she stated that the goal is to train at least five million Nigerians annually in various skills to enhance employability and promote self-employment.

This donation is part of a larger campaign launched in July last year, focusing on transforming Nigeria’s education system from theoretical to practical skills development. Arogundade reassured students not receiving tablets this time that they will have opportunities in the future. Afrifone Ltd, the technical partner, also announced its commitment to supporting the initiative through representative Okafor Judith.
