Former lawmaker representing Warri Federal Constituency, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju, has urged for a major restructuring of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPCL), highlighting the need for increased transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Reyenieju remarked that the NNPCL has the capability to drive national growth and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts to reshape Nigeria’s future.

He stated, “We are at a pivotal moment, blessed with abundant oil and gas resources. It’s crucial that we take this opportunity to unlock our potential in other natural resources. The challenges are significant but not insurmountable. We need decisive action and visionary leadership.”

He further emphasized, “If entrenched personal interests continue to uphold the status quo, it will only complicate matters for future leaders. It’s vital that we support President Tinubu’s initiatives to implement comprehensive restructuring and reforms in the NNPCL, focusing on transparency, efficiency, and accountability.”

Reyenieju continued, “President Tinubu has taken bold actions that many before him shied away from. However, this is just the beginning. We must demand more from our leadership and advocate for a thorough restructuring of the NNPCL to transform it into a model of excellence that can drive national growth and prosperity.”

He concluded by calling on all stakeholders—including government officials, industry leaders, and citizens—to unite in support of a transformative agenda that prioritizes the nation’s well-being. He believes that Nigeria has the potential to become a global leader, but realizing this vision requires collective effort and a steadfast commitment to reform.
