Karen Igho, former Big Brother Africa winner, has opened up about her struggles, revealing that she has been homeless for the past year due to her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband, Yaroslav Rakos.
In a heartfelt post on X, Igho shared that she has endured physical and sexual abuse during her marriage and expressed concern for her safety. She urged Nigerians and Africans to pray for her and her children, adding that her husband should be held accountable if anything happens to her.
“I’m going through a divorce with my husband. I have been homeless for a year, and I have been hurt sexually and physically, so if anything happens, ask or hold the man who brought me to a country where I know no one,” Igho wrote, stating that her husband was attempting to take their children away by claiming she was mentally ill.
She further pleaded, “Please Africans, pray for my children and me. In case you don’t hear from me again, know that I have been killed. I am not mentally sick and don’t do drugs.”
Karen Igho and Yaroslav Rakos tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together. However, their relationship has faced challenges, leading to the current divorce proceedings. Since winning Big Brother Africa, Igho has pursued a career in acting, featuring in the M-Net series Tinsel and the movie Blackberry Babes Reloaded.
