FirstBank has issued a statement addressing a misleading report concerning a recent system upgrade, emphasizing that the information circulated was intended solely for its vendors.

Folake Ani-Mumuney, Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, clarified that the notice pertained to the transition from the current I-Supplier Platform, which links FirstBank with its suppliers, to a new Cloud-based Supplier Platform. This advanced system aims to enhance supplier management and provide additional capabilities and benefits specifically designed for vendors.

The bank assured customers that there is no ongoing system upgrade affecting customer applications. All banking systems, customer transactions, and service channels remain fully operational, ensuring clients continue to receive uninterrupted service.

FirstBank reiterated its commitment to maintaining seamless and reliable banking operations, stating that the vendor platform enhancement will not impact any customer-facing systems.
