Fiorentina triumphed in a breathtaking encounter against AC Milan at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with a 2-1 victory full of drama. The match had it all—penalty misses, brilliant goals, incredible saves, and red cards.

Moise Kean set the tone by missing an early penalty for Fiorentina after 22 minutes. Despite the miss, the hosts took the lead in the 35th minute, courtesy of Yacine Adli’s shot that ricocheted off the post and found the net.

David De Gea was the standout hero for Fiorentina, producing two incredible penalty saves—denying both Milan’s Theo Hernandez and former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Milan fought back through Christian Pulisic, who equalized on the hour mark, but Fiorentina regained their lead when Albert Gudmundsson struck in the 73rd minute.

The tension reached its peak as Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino was sent off for protesting in the closing moments. Hernandez, already frustrated after missing a penalty, saw red for dissent in stoppage time.

Despite the introduction of Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze in the 82nd minute, Milan couldn’t find a way back, marking their second loss in five days, following a Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
