Film executive Moses Babatope launches new company after leaving Filmhouse

Moses Babatope has launched a new entertainment venture, Nile Media Entertainment Group, three months after his departure from FilmOne Entertainment. This new company will focus on film production, distribution, cinema experiences, and talent development.

Nile Media Entertainment Group will operate through five subsidiaries: Nile Entertainment, Nile Cinemas, Nile Motion Pictures, Nile Studio Lab, and The Nile Foundation. Babatope, who will serve as Group CEO, has announced that the company has already acquired the rights to distribute 31 films both locally and internationally.

The new company aims to celebrate African stories and bring them to a global audience in innovative ways. Babatope’s vision for Nile Media is to significantly enhance the Nigerian film industry, exploring new markets and creating fresh revenue streams.

The team at Nile Media includes:

  • Biola Sokenu as Executive Director and Group COO
  • Abimbola Craig as Vice President of Production
  • Lolu Desalu as Executive Director
  • Bukky George Taylor as VP of Nile X (cinema arm)
  • Nowekere Alexis Segun-Ojo as General Manager of Distribution and Marketing

Babatope’s new venture reflects his commitment to reshaping the future of African entertainment with fresh ideas and strategies.
