Fenerbahce has firmly dismissed recent speculation linking manager Jose Mourinho with a move to Premier League club Everton. The Turkish club has emphasized that Mourinho is fully dedicated to their cause and focused on achieving success in both domestic and European competitions.

COMMITMENT TO FENERBAHCE
In a statement released through Hurriyet, a major Turkish newspaper, Fenerbahce reiterated their confidence in Mourinho’s leadership. “There is no offer from Everton, and even if there was, Mourinho only has Fenerbahce in mind. He is completely focused on his job,” the club stated. Additionally, reports indicate that Mourinho’s camp, including his agent Jorge Mendes, is also unaware of any such rumors.

Mourinho joined Fenerbahce in the summer of 2024, with the goal of challenging Galatasaray’s dominance in the Turkish Super Lig. Galatasaray, having signed Victor Osimhen on loan, aims to secure the title for a third consecutive season after making history last year by reaching 100 points.

IWOBI’S FULHAM TEAMMATE FACES CRITICISM AFTER MAN CITY DEFEAT

Alex Iwobi’s Fulham teammate has come under fire following the Cottagers’ narrow 3-2 defeat to Manchester City, with pundit Alejandro Moreno highlighting Adama Traore’s missed opportunities as a key factor in the loss. Despite Iwobi’s commendable performance, Traore failed to capitalize on multiple clear chances.

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES
Fulham initially took the lead with goals from Andreas Pereira and Rodrigo Muniz, but Manchester City rallied back with a brace from Mateo Kovacic and a strike from Jeremy Doku. The defeat left Fulham’s Traore in the spotlight for his lack of composure in front of goal, as he squandered three significant scoring opportunities.

Moreno remarked, “Adama Traore is proof to the rest of the world that you just can’t have it all. You can have the pace and strength, but when it comes to finishing… that’s the story of his career.”

LOOKING AHEAD
Following the international break, Manchester City will travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Fulham will host Aston Villa, hoping to bounce back from their disappointing result.
