The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has emphasized that the progress and prosperity of the FCT rely on collective efforts from its residents.
In his Eid-el-Maulud message delivered in Abuja on Monday, Wike urged residents to adopt the virtues of patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the territory’s development.
He stated, “Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives in peace and security, reflecting the Prophet Muhammad’s vision of a just and equitable society. This day, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, is a profound reminder of his compassion, humility, and justice.”
Wike encouraged residents to reaffirm their commitment to the values of tolerance, love, and kindness preached by the Prophet. He also called for prayers for Nigeria and its leaders as the nation seeks stability, growth, and the well-being of all citizens.
The minister underscored the importance of empathy and togetherness in guiding interactions among residents. He highlighted that the Prophet’s life offers timeless lessons in pursuing peace, unity, and moral excellence.
Wike reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations to residents, promising continued efforts to improve infrastructure, social facilities, and human development. He also urged residents to fulfill their responsibilities to the government and contribute to the FCT’s growth and progress.
