The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, emphasized the importance of collective efforts for the progress and prosperity of the FCT in his Eid-el-Maulud message to residents on Monday.
Wike urged residents to adopt virtues of patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the development of the FCT. He highlighted the significance of coming together to build a peaceful and secure society, echoing the values of Prophet Muhammad.
“As we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, this day serves as a profound reminder of his virtues, values, and teachings,” Wike said. “The Prophet embodied compassion, humility, and justice, and this occasion provides an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to tolerance, love, and kindness.”
He also called for prayers for Nigeria and its leaders, stressing the need for stability, growth, and the well-being of all citizens. Wike highlighted the timeless lessons from the Prophet’s life in the pursuit of peace, unity, and moral excellence.
“As we reflect on his example, let us embrace these principles in our daily interactions, fostering harmony and understanding among the diverse communities in the FCT,” he added.
