EMIR SANUSI APPEALS FOR PEACEFUL PARTICIPATION IN KANO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, has called on eligible voters in the state to actively participate in the upcoming Local Government election on Saturday by electing candidates of their choice.

Speaking at his palace during a press conference on Friday, Sanusi emphasized the critical need to shun violence and any attempts to disrupt the electoral process.

He urged residents to maintain peace and avoid any form of violence before, during, and after the elections. The Emir specifically appealed to parents to protect their children from being used as agents of destruction, advising the community to disregard any miscreants looking to incite trouble.

Sanusi also encouraged collaboration with the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission to facilitate a smooth electoral process
