Residents across the Lagos region are facing ongoing power disruptions due to faults on the 330kV transmission lines, according to a statement from the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) released on Monday. The company explained that the power shortages are the result of reduced power allocation from their partner, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), caused by the faults on the transmission lines.

As a result, load-shedding has been implemented across the network, leading to the continued power outages. EKEDC acknowledged the frustration this situation has caused for both residents and businesses in the area, who rely heavily on a stable power supply.

The company assured customers that they are actively working with TCN and other partners to resolve the issue and restore a more stable power supply. EKEDC thanked their customers for their patience and understanding while efforts to address the situation continue.
