EFCC PICKS UP 22 INTERNET FRAUD SUSPECTS IN BENIN

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 22 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud at various locations within Benin City. This information was disclosed by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.

According to Oyewale, the arrests, which took place on Tuesday, were made based on actionable intelligence regarding the suspects’ alleged involvement in internet-related fraud. The EFCC operatives recovered 10 exotic cars, laptops, and phones from the suspects during the operation.

The suspects are expected to be charged to court as soon as the ongoing investigations are concluded.
