EDO STATE GOVERNMENT AND APC TRANSITION COMMITTEES TO HOLD JOINT MEETING

The Edo State government’s transition committee and that of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are set to commence their joint sitting on Friday as part of preparations for the upcoming handover of government to Senator Monday Okpebholo in November.

During a press briefing, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, announced that the inaugural meeting of the Edo State Joint Transition Committee will take place at the John Odigie-Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) starting at 10 a.m.

Nehikhare confirmed that the state government had received the names of the APC Transition Committee members in response to an earlier letter sent to the party. He emphasized that the primary objective of the Transition Committee is to facilitate a smooth handover of government, expressing optimism about the collaborative efforts of all members to ensure a seamless transition.
