The Edo House of Assembly has announced the recall of the last two suspended lawmakers, Donald Okogbe and Adeh Isibor, after a five-month suspension period. This decision was made public during a plenary session on Wednesday.

The suspension of Okogbe (PDP-Akoko-Edo II) and Isibor (APC-Esan North-East I) began on May 6, along with Bright Iyamu (Orhionmwon South), due to an alleged plot to impeach the Speaker and other principal officers. However, Iyamu was recalled in June after showing remorse, as noted by the Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku.

During the session, Agbebaku congratulated the state governor-elect, Monday Okpebholo, on his recent victory in the governorship election, emphasizing that he should represent all Edo people, not just those from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Speaker also expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for their commitment to passing impactful bills and resolutions during their recess. Additionally, the assembly approved a 57-sitting day calendar for the second quarter of its second session.
