Bright Iyamu has been recalled after showing remorse, as announced by the Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku. At the resumption of plenary in Benin on Wednesday, Agbebaku informed the assembly that the decision was made to recall the two remaining lawmakers from suspension.

The Speaker congratulated the newly elected governor, Monday Okpebholo, on his victory in the recent governorship election. He emphasized that the governor-elect represents all Edo people, not just those affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), and expressed hope that sycophants would not mislead him.

During the session, Agbebaku welcomed the lawmakers back from a lengthy recess and thanked them for their dedication in ensuring the passage of significant bills and resolutions. Additionally, the assembly approved a calendar of 57 sitting days for the second quarter of its second session.
