The Police Command in Ebonyi State has issued a stern warning to its officers to refrain from unprofessional behavior and to focus on enhancing the reputation of the Nigeria Police Force.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abakaliki, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Joshua Ukandu, emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism following the circulation of a viral video showing officers acting inappropriately at their duty posts.

Ukandu condemned the behavior displayed in the video, stating that such actions would not be tolerated and that disciplinary measures have already been initiated against those involved.

“We unequivocally condemn their actions and have identified the officers involved; disciplinary actions have already been initiated against them,” he said.

He further noted that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Anthonia Uche-Anya, has reiterated the command’s zero tolerance for extortion and any form of misconduct. Ukandu warned that any officer found engaging in such behavior would face appropriate disciplinary actions.
