Dufil Prima Foods Hosts 14th Annual Teachers’ Seminar in Lagos

In a heartfelt celebration of Nigeria’s educators, Dufil Prima Foods, the makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, held its 14th Annual Teachers’ Seminar at the Nigerian Ports Authority Sports Event Hall in Surulere, Lagos. The event drew over 500 teachers from across the nation, emphasizing Indomie’s commitment to uplifting and supporting educators in their crucial roles in shaping future generations.

Themed “Reinventing the Classroom Through Digital Literacy,” this year’s seminar focused on equipping teachers with essential digital skills necessary for navigating today’s evolving educational landscape. Temitope Ashiwaju, Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods, explained the theme, stating, “Classrooms today are evolving rapidly. We wanted this year’s seminar to encourage teachers to adopt digital tools and resources that make learning innovative and accessible. Teachers hold the future in their hands, and we aim to support their growth.”

Reflecting on Indomie’s ongoing commitment, Ashiwaju added that the brand has been dedicated to this initiative for 14 years, recognizing the dedication of teachers and looking forward to future celebrations.

Key speakers at the seminar included Obiora Ngwu, Senior IT Business Analyst and Project Manager, and Miriam Wokocha, a digital technology consultant and motivational trainer. They led a session titled “Understanding the Role of Digital Literacy in Modern Education,” demonstrating how AI and digital tools can enhance learning and engagement.

Mrs. Onatoye Buriamoh Kemi, Director of Education at the Ministry of Education, encouraged teachers to embrace continual learning and innovation, stating, “With or without titles, teachers are special. Value yourselves, keep growing, and guide the next generation confidently through the digital age.”

Throughout the event, teachers shared testimonials about the importance of their profession, with one expressing, “At some point, I was teary because this truly recognizes the value of being a teacher.” Another remarked, “It makes me feel priceless, and today I am proud to say I am an educator.”

Mrs. Faith Joshua, Coordinator of the Indomie Fan Club, added motivational remarks, recognizing teachers as the foundation of all professions and encouraging them to continue their great work with pride and determination.

The seminar featured engaging activities, including games, prizes, and awards for top performers in a nationwide quiz, celebrating excellence among educators. Attendees also enjoyed delicious Indomie noodles as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication. As they left, teachers took home valuable insights, new connections, and a renewed sense of purpose in their vital roles.
