A drone was launched toward the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea, central Israel, according to a statement from his office. The prime minister’s spokeswoman confirmed the attack, adding that Netanyahu and his wife were not home at the time. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Earlier, the Israeli military stated that the drone, launched from Lebanon, struck a structure in the Caesarea area. In total, three drones were fired toward the coastal town on Saturday. While one hit a building, the other two were intercepted by Israeli forces.
In a separate development, the Israeli Air Force reportedly killed Hezbollah’s deputy commander, Naser Abed al-Aziz Rashid, in the Bint Jbeil area of southern Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that Rashid was involved in “terrorist activities against Israeli civilians.” The incidents come amid escalating tensions in the region.
