Davido Shuns Wizkid’s Jabs Amid Resurfacing Rivalry

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has chosen to ignore the latest jabs from his longtime rival Wizkid, which reignited their feud on social media this week.

The tension began when Davido teased a snippet of his upcoming single for 2024, prompting a reaction from his associate, Kayode Yajaur (also known as Black Tycoone). He seemed to mock Wizkid, tweeting, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already,” in reference to the delay in Wizkid’s album release.

Wizkid responded by taking to X (formerly Twitter), where he threw shade at Davido’s camp, posting, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” and added, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!” Although he did not explicitly mention Davido, fans quickly interpreted the remarks as directed at the “Feel” crooner.

In defense of Davido, a fan accused Wizkid of using the rivalry to generate buzz for his music, tweeting, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?” Wizkid shot back, denying he was clout-chasing and disparaging Davido’s talent, stating, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!”

As of the latest updates, Davido has not publicly responded to Wizkid’s comments, instead focusing on promoting his various projects on social media platforms.
