Davido announced his support via Instagram Stories on September 15, 2024, sharing a newspaper cover featuring Ighodalo and declaring him as “The next governor of my mother’s homeland.”
Although Davido hails from Ede in Osun State, his mother is from Edo, adding a personal dimension to his endorsement.
