Davido has reached a significant milestone in his music career as his fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ surpasses 450 million streams on Spotify. Released on March 31, 2024, ‘Timeless’ has become Davido’s most streamed album on the platform, setting records for the highest opening day and opening week streams for a Nigerian album on Spotify.
Among its standout tracks, ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys has achieved over 100 million streams, marking a milestone as Davido’s first lead single to reach this threshold. The album includes other hits like ‘Feel,’ ‘Kante’ featuring Fave, and ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake, contributing to its widespread success.
‘Timeless’ has also garnered Davido three nominations at the 66th Grammys, with ‘Unavailable’ earning a nomination for Best African Song Performance, ‘Feel’ for Best Global Song Performance, and ‘Timeless’ itself for Best Global Album.
With this achievement, Davido’s cumulative streams on Spotify now exceed 2 billion across all credits, solidifying his position as the 6th most streamed Nigerian artist on the platform, following the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, and Ckay.
The conclusion of the ‘Timeless’ era was marked by the release of the music video for ‘Kante’ featuring Fave, wrapping up a successful year that included extensive touring and continued recognition for Davido’s contribution to Afrobeats on the global stage.
