Daniel Bwala, the former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, has called on Nigerians to exercise patience regarding President Bola Tinubu’s anticipated cabinet reshuffle. In an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala emphasized that the timing of the reshuffle is solely at the President’s discretion.
He explained that the President is likely evaluating his ministers based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) assessments to inform his decisions. “He will do it when he wants to do it. The good thing is that he must have formed his own opinion based on assessment when they introduced this KPI assessment, and any minister who has not been able to meet up with this assessment will be able to know,” Bwala stated.
Bwala reiterated that the President has the final authority in evaluating his ministers, urging the public to trust the process. He highlighted that the reshuffle could occur at any moment, saying, “It is the President who is now the overall assessor. He even engaged the Nigerian people, saying, ‘Go and talk to them about the programme,’ and he will do it when he will do it.”
He concluded by encouraging Nigerians to remain patient, assuring them that the President will act on the reshuffle when he sees fit, noting, “It can be tonight, it can be tomorrow, it can be anytime.”
