Glenn Hoddle Cautions Chelsea Not to Get Complacent After 6-2 Win Over Wolves
Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has warned Chelsea against becoming complacent following their impressive 6-2 victory over Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday. Despite the dominant performance, Hoddle stressed that such open and high-scoring games are not typical of the league.
Hoddle highlighted that Chelsea’s win at Molineux came after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Manchester City the previous week. Noni Madueke was the standout player, scoring a hat-trick, with Cole Palmer, Joao Felix, and Nicholas Jackson also finding the net.
“This game was so open, it was like the Wild West,” Hoddle said on Premier League Productions. “It was like basketball, with no defending for 90 minutes. While it made for a fantastic game, every match in the Premier League won’t be like that. If you give good players time and space, like Chelsea’s, they will hurt you, but they need to be prepared for different challenges ahead.”
