BUSINESSMAN EXCRETES 68 WRAPS OF COCAINE AFTER 12 DAYS UNDER NDLEA OBSERVATION

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Anambra-based businessman Ibeanusi Nosike, who excreted 68 wraps of cocaine at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

According to NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi, Nosike, 36, was apprehended on August 8 while attempting to board a flight to Abuja. He was under NDLEA surveillance after arriving in Lagos from Onitsha the previous day and ingesting the cocaine pellets. Nosike spent 12 days under observation, during which he excreted the drugs, totaling 1.282 kilograms.

Additionally, 54-year-old Paul Mbadugha was arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja on August 12. Mbadugha, who was bound for Vietnam, tested positive for cocaine ingestion and later excreted 88 wraps of the drug, weighing 1.710 kilograms.

In another case, Chukwudi Aligbo, another Onitsha-based businessman, was arrested following the seizure of 1.20 kilograms of cannabis concealed in a package destined for Dubai. Aligbo was apprehended in Onitsha on August 17 after the shipment was intercepted at MMIA.
