Bobrisky’s legal counsel, Avwerosuoghene Omuvwie, informed the House of Representatives Committee that his client, Bobrisky, was unable to attend the Committee’s invitation due to illness. However, the Committee questioned the absence of any medical documentation to support the claim, as the lawyer admitted he had no such document from Bobrisky’s doctor.
Meanwhile, influencer Verydarkman, also present at the hearing, refused to testify regarding his allegations against Bobrisky, insisting that his lawyer should speak on his behalf. His refusal was tied to Bobrisky’s absence, but the Committee asserted that Verydarkman cannot dictate the proceedings and was required to present his claims.
The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that Bobrisky could be compelled to appear or even face arrest if necessary, stating, “We can compel Bobrisky to appear before us and even arrest him if necessary.” The Committee reminded Verydarkman that his allegations had led to the involvement of top government officials and urged him to testify.
