Popular socialite and crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, is reportedly in detention after being arrested at the Seme border while attempting to flee Nigeria.
Social media activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared the news through a video on his Instagram page. He claims that Bobrisky was apprehended by Nigerian Immigration Officers as he was allegedly trying to escape to Benin Republic amid ongoing investigations related to his activities.
In his post, VeryDarkMan stated, “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at the Seme border while trying to enter BENIN REPUBLIC to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by the Nigerian immigration… MAKE WE WAIT FOR BOB TO DEBUNK.”
The video further alleges that Bobrisky attempted to hide in his car and sent someone to assist him in signing his international passport before the arrest.
This incident adds a new layer to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Bobrisky, particularly concerning accusations of bribery involving officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
