3 brutal signs your relationship is coming to a close

Of all the topics regarding relationships, perhaps the trickiest subjects to cover are those that pertain to relationships ending.

We deny it, we turn our cheek, and we bury our heads in the sand all to avoid seeing the end of a relationship; but the ending is still there, looming before us, whether we choose to accept it or not.

Sometimes we tell ourselves that we never saw it coming, and perhaps this is true. The need to avoid seeing that a relationship is ending can be so strong that we never become aware of the signs.

In my work as a Tarot Intuitive Counsellor and Master Life Coach, I have helped thousands as they made a transition within their relationship.

The following three signs are among the most prevalent when a relationship is coming to a close.

Here are 3 brutal signs your relationship is coming to a close:

1. You are no longer intimately aligned

Though physical intimacy is often considered superficial, intimate health is extremely important in a relationship. Things wax and wane, but I have counselled couples who have gone months and even years without physically pleasing one another. Being out of alignment this way can occur for any number of reasons, but it is a major sign that there is something unbalanced in the relationship. Whether it’s mounting resentments that keep you from engaging or even resistance to connecting intimately with one another, it’s important to pay attention to the health of a relationship. Opening an honest and safe dialogue if you notice that things are declining in this area is crucial to shifting the tide. This is not a time to be confrontational or use it as a pity party but to honestly discuss what is happening.

2. You constantly pick fights

This is often considered to be part of the female shadow aspect, but both partners fall victim to this tendency. If you are constantly picking fights, nitpicking their faults, or generally being difficult to get along with, this is a sign of something being out of balance. Whether you are using your partner as a scapegoat or a battering ram, it’s not healthy to create conflict where no conflict needs to exist. It’s typically a sign that you either want them to do the dirty work for you or that you are holding on to resentments, and rather than dealing with things head-on you are using small, unrelated things to unleash your frustration. It’s important to ask yourself why you are creating conflict and if there is something underneath all of this that is the root of the issue. If you realize that you are using his socks on the floor as a scapegoat for forgetting your anniversary or that secretly you are unhappy and are hoping to make him so as well, then you can begin to have a dialogue with what should come next.

3. Your body is telling you

This is perhaps the most important thing I will discuss in this article. I’ve touched on the fact that when we experience the decline or shifting of a relationship we tend to ignore the signs that are right in front of us but it’s hard to ignore what our bodies are telling us. Much sooner than the heart or the mind, our bodies often know far in advance that something is rotten in Denmark. It’s important to listen to what our bodies are telling us. Do we tense up around our lover? Do we feel anxious or wake in the middle of the night in hot sweats? It’s very important to journal or log how you are feeling and whether your body is trying to tell you something that your heart and mind perhaps have been avoiding hearing.

Just because you see some of these signs in your relationship doesn’t mean that things are necessarily irreparable and you are destined for an ending.

Provided that both of you are willing, counselling, coaching, and other modes of psychotherapy are incredibly helpful when fixing issues in a connection. It is not easy or painless.

Our relationships are often direct models of the relationship we have with ourselves. When one sours, we can invest in a bit of self-inquiry regarding the other. We have to look at how we perhaps are modelling behaviour or triggering behaviour within our partner that is counterproductive to a healthy relationship. It’s deep business, for sure, but the fact is unless we are willing to do the hard work we cannot expect good results.

If your partner is not willing to do the work with you, this does not mean that you should avoid doing it yourself.

Part of transitioning out of a relationship is going through the mud and the murk so that you are better prepared and whole when the next relationship enters your life. Remember that no matter how long or short a connection, each relationship ultimately is a learning experience. It’s important to learn these lessons and do the work on ourselves, since this is the very starting point for every relationship we enter.

May And Yul Edochie’s Divorce Case Hits the Rock as Yul and Judy’s Lawyer Refuses to Show Up

May Edochie shares how security officials restrained Yul Edochie from accessing their former matrimonial home

The divorce lawsuit between actor Yul Edochie and his estranged wife, May, has been put off due to the absence of Yul and Judy’s lawyer. May’s legal counsel, Emeka Ugwuonye, provided an update on social media.

He wrote;

‘’YUL EDOCHIE’S CASE CAME UP TODAY

Trial could not go ahead today as scheduled because two days ago, Yul Edochie’s and Judy Austin’s lawyer wrote a letter to the court stating that he was unwell and stating that he would not be present in court today as a result thereof. He proposed a number of dates in the future as an alternative and requested the court to indulge him. Usually, the court would give a lawyer the benefit of doubts in such a situation. May’s lawyers would not like to question the integrity of the opponent directly, even though the excuse was a tendentious occurrence.

Today in court, Mr. Yul Edochie was present, but without his counsel, the court could nor hear any substantive matter. A new date has been set in June. We are all concerned about delays and protraction of this case. But we remain confident that justice will be done in due course by this court. As you know, several issues are involved: from the activities of the parties in the social media, to the welfare of the children, to the issues of marital properties, safety of May, and the final status of the marriage itself.

As we have done in the past, we urge all well-wishers and supporters to be patient. The legal process is very intricate and the best approach has to be meticulous and painstaking. Despite our concerns about delays, we are confident that May is fine and will remain so. There should be no cause for worries at this point. We also urge you to resist the temptation to believe things you read in the blogs. Most of the blogs have no idea what is going on, but will go to every extent to suggest otherwise. Thank you.”

If President Tinubu Offers Me A Position to Support his Agenda, I Will Appreciate It – Bwala

Daniel Bwala, a well-known member of the Peoples Democratic Party, has stated that he would be open to accepting an appointment from Tinubu should one be extended to him.

He declared that if an appointment helped advance Tinubu’s development program, he would welcome it.

The attorney and politician revealed this on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics program. The two met with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa last week.

“If the President makes an offer of a position that I see that will contribute to the development of his agenda because I say I will support his agenda, I will more than anything else appreciate it.

“But it is not the appointment that I am looking for to support him. Eight years, I supported Buhari, I was a public official. You have to separate between those who do not have value and are cringing and crying for an appointment and those who believe the value and what they will contribute has nothing to do with whether you’re appointed or you’re not appointed,” he stated.

Given that Bwala had previously served as the spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, which supported Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 elections, there was a lot of backlash last week over his choice to support Tinubu.

After Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno, was selected by Tinubu to be his running mate, Bwala, a former member of the APC, left the party.

Despite being a Muslim himself, he criticized Tinubu for choosing a Muslim running mate. He then joined the PDP campaign and backed Atiku, who selected former Delta governor Ifeanyi Okowa, a Christian, as his running partner.

The PDP leader likened his function as the party’s spokesperson during the previous campaign to that of a salesman in the interview on Sunday. He stated that his job was to belittle the competitors and promote their product, emphasizing its advantages.

“As a spokesman, that was my duty. I exhibited what I believe to be the quality to the best of my knowledge,” Bwala said.

He noted in the interview that meeting Tinubu at the Presidential Villa was known to Atiku

“I informed Atiku Abubakar I was going to see the President. After I had seen the President, I informed him (Atiku) that I had just seen the President and he replied me that, ‘Thanks Daniel for notifying me’,” he said.

Ondo APC Guber Primary: ‘A mega fraud’ that must end at Supreme Court – Jimoh Ibrahim

Ondo South Senator, Jimoh Ibrahim has lamented the outcome of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo 2024 governorship primary election held on April 20th 2024, describing the exercise as a “mega fraud” that would end at the Supreme Court.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Ibrahim said the primary election did not hold in 159 out of 203 polling units across the three senatorial districts in Ondo State.

He insisted that Kogi State governor, Ododo Ahmed Usman, who was the Chairman of Ondo State Primary Election Committee, fraudulently declared Lucky Aiyedatiwa winner in cahoots with the former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.

Armed with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s report, the lawmaker disclosed that he has filed a complaint at a Federal High Court in line with provisions of the Electoral Act, which stipulates that “complaints arising from primary election be filed within 14 days”.

In the INEC report which Jimoh personally made available to journalists, DAILY POST observed that the primary election did not hold in 15 out of 18 LGAs in Ondo.

Ibrahim further alleged that Ododo and Omo-Agege changed the date of collation of results midway to allow them perfect the “electoral fraud” in favour of the incumbent governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

To buttress his point, Jimoh pointed to a letter written by Ododo, which was addressed to the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Akure, purportedly changing the date of collation on the day of the primary election.

Parts of the letter, which was sighted by DAILY POST, reads: “Please refer to our letters on the above stated subject matter, dated 5th April, 2024 with Ref. Number APC/NHDQ/INEC/19024/016 wherein we requested for a change in the State Collation Centre.

“We are writing to further inform the Commission of the postponement of the collation of election results for the All Progressives Congress, APC primary election, which is scheduled for 20th April, 2024. The postponement became necessary due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the submission of results from the Local Government Collation Centre Officers.

“Despite our best efforts to ensure timely collation, most of our Local Government collation officers will arrive late, as a result of logistic challenges which have led to a delay in the collation processes.”

Referring to the recent defection of the former speaker, Okorie, the State Publicity Secretary of the APC said “All registration is done at the ward level according to the party constitution, and not on someone’s table. Putin sworn-in for 5th term as Russian president; to rule for another 6 years

On Tuesday, May 7, Vladimir Putin kicked off his fifth term as the Russian leader with a grand Kremlin inauguration. He’s starting another six years in office, having faced political opponents, being involved in the Ukraine conflict, and consolidated power.

Already in office for nearly a quarter-century and the longest-serving Kremlin leader since Josef Stalin, Putin’s new term doesn’t expire until 2030, when he will be constitutionally eligible to run again.

At the ceremony inside the gilded Grand Kremlin Palace, Putin placed his hand on the Russian Constitution and vowed to defend it as a crowd of hand-picked dignitaries looked on.

He spoke about his invasion of Ukraine and the future of Russia, describing the current situation as “difficult.” “We will pass through this difficult period with dignity and become even stronger,” Putin said, adding: “We are a united and great nation, and together we will overcome all obstacles, realize everything we have planned, and together, we will win.”

The Russian leader said he considers leading the country a “sacred duty” as he was inaugurated for a fifth Kremlin term, prolonging his more than two-decade rule. “Serving Russia is a huge honor, responsibility and sacred duty,” the 71-year-old said.

To know you is to know strength and tenacity, to experience you is a gift, to have learnt from you is a honor. How can people be writing condolences so soon to a paragon?

We always prayed for you to be present when I’m getting married and that ours won’t be a case of a minute silence. I prayed these prayers more times than I can remember,
pleading with God.

I can’t count the number of
times you told me you’re looking forward to
watching our father/daughter dance and to
come spend omugwo with me but that’s a
prayer I know will remain unanswered. I’m
trying so hard to accept this. It’s incredibly unbelievable!

You fought a good fight these past months,
your willpower and tenacity to live, I felt it, we
all did, but God loves you so much that he called you home to rest in his bosom.

It’s difficult to accept, I’ve never experienced such grief and heartbreak. I love you so much, I miss you so deeply.

Who am I gonna tease?, who do I report Dad to?, who’s gonna gist with me and love me like you? Who’s gonna call me “Tewogbore or Olaoluwa”. It breaks my heart so much cos I know how hard you fought, putting up a strong front.

I take solace in the holy scriptures that says God calls home the ones he loves most first. Thank you for teaching me how to pray and the powers of prayer.

Everytime I run to you for advice, you would always say “bibeli so wi pe as much as it depends on you, live at peace with all men” Rom 12:18. A Bible verse that has helped me build character.

This is the most painful piece I’ve ever written. I hope vour final moments were peaceful. Till we meet at the feet of Jesus. I love you mom, now and forever”
