UCL: His teammates let him down – Ferdinand singles out Bayern star after defeat to Madrid.

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has singled out Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, insisting that his teammates let him down against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg tie on Wednesday.

When Kane was on the pitch against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich were heading to the Champions League final.

Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel then substituted the England international in the 85th minute against Real Madrid by bringing on Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

At that point, Bayern were protecting a one-goal lead and were going to Wembley with Kane having led their charge.

“He has done his job. He has scored the goals,” Rio Ferdinand told TNT Sports.

“They brought him to continue winning trophies and I feel the others have let him down more than anything. I think he will have a heavy heart tonight.”

Kane has scored 44 goals in 44 games across all competitions.

Sunshine Queens head coach, Rafiu Oseni, has commended his team’s victory over Green Foot FC in the Round 32 games of the women’s President Federation Cup.

The Owena Whales defeated the non-league side 3-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday.

Oseni believed that the team will improve as the competition progresses.

“I will continue to take my time to study the team, Sunshine Queens is a very good team, as soon as we get back to our base, we will work on some areas we are lacking, there is going to be better improvement before our next game,” the coach stated to the club’s media.

“I must confess, our opponent gave a good account of themselves, they are not pushover at all, we edged them through experience, hard work and grace of God.”

The remaining Round of 32 fixtures is scheduled to be played on Thursday across designated venues.

UCL: Tuchel lists three reasons Bayern Munich lost 2-1 to Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, has listed the reasons they lost 2-1 to Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.

Joselu scored two late goals to win the tie, after Alphonso Davies stunned the Bernabeu in the second half.

Real will now play Bayern’s Bundesliga rivals, Borussia Dortmund in the final on June 1.

Tuchel, speaking to DAZN, said: “It hurts. It’ll take a while to recover, but on the one hand it’s a loss where we left it all out on the pitch.

“Of course, it’s tough to accept. It’s part of reality. No regrets. But on the other hand, there were too many injuries, a few too many substitutions, too many cramps.”

The defeat ensures Bayern will end this campaign trophyless, with Tuchel set to leave the club after only 14 months.

Singer Wizkid accused of living in his former glory and clout-chasing

The full video is on YouTube and you don’t want to miss it.

This episode of Pulse Hot Takes focuses on Wizkid

Pulse Hot Takes is a weekly YouTube talk show hosted by Elvis Christian and Christabel Ago. Every week the hosts speak with guests on trending issues and dissect problems that Nigerians face. In this episode, they were joined by content creator/strategist Busayo Debs and lifestyle reporter Davy Ben.

April 2024 ended on a rather controversial note when Wizkid’s interactive session with fans took a different turn after he posted a video of Davido crying. That led to a scathing face-off between both stars on X after Davido responded.

Wizkid also called music business mogul Don Jazzy an “influencer” during a conversation with a fan on X.

See below what was said on this episode:

Elvis said, “Don Jazzy is more than an influencer. Props to all the influencers, they are amazing in their own right. But I feel like this whole thing made people start rubbishing influencers. Don Jazzy is a person of influence and starts conversations, but I don’t know what WizKid was going for with that narrative. It was unnecessary.”

Davy Ben said, “The term Influencer is not an insult. We don’t know what might have happened between them behind the scenes.”

Busayo countered, “WizKid was rude and condescending. He and Don Jazzy aren’t on the same level. He shouldn’t come out and say such.”

Busayo asserted that Wizkid is living in his former glory and has no new songs being played at clubs.

She said, “When you want to talk about artistes with projects you can talk about Burna Boy but not Wizkid. Let him sit down and retire. He’s living in his past glory! When you go to clubs, how many WizKid songs do they play? Except for his old songs. Come with facts.”

Busayo stressed that Wizkid’s social media outbursts were to chase clout, possibly in preparation for new music.

“One thing Wizkid fans always say is that he doesn’t talk or react to people. But now that he has been clout-chasing on Twitter what will they say? He’s a clout chaser. Now that he wants to drop a song or an album he remembers his Twitter password,” she said.

Davy Ben knocked Wizkid’s fans for their inability to call him out or hold him accountable.

He said, “Wizkid has the strongest fan base in Africa, but my problem with them is that they put him on such a pedestal and they can’t hold him accountable.”

Ajebo Hustlers returns to class for ‘Bad Boy Etiquette 102’ [Review]

On ‘Bad Boy Etiquette 102’ Ajebo Hustlers (Knowledge & Piego) offers insights into the making of a shrewd young man.

Ajebo Hustlers returns to class for 'Bad Boy Etiquette 102'

Knowledge‘s smooth narrative rap style and Piego‘s supreme melody molding abilities make Ajebo Hustler’s music a fine work of art that thrives on the simplicity of language and compelling relatability.

Coming from the dire realities of life in Port Harcourt, Ajebo Hustlers are driven to become successful and put their city on the map like other great exports from the oil-rich City. This ambition is conveyed in ‘Dreams II’ on which they recruit on-form hip hop stars Zlatan & Blaqbonez to share what continues to fuel their pursuit for success.

Focus on their goal and averse to all forms of distractions, On ‘You Go Know’, they restate their desire for stress-free life through a smooth deployment of Port Harcourt pidgin lingo that thrives on Piego’s sheer melody molding brilliance.

Ajebo Hustlers draws from personal experiences and they share their struggle with addiction on the bouncy record ‘Last Week’ on which Jeriq questions the “smokers are liable to die young” narrative in quintessential street hop star and stoner fashion.

<img class="image lazyloaded imgWithMetaData aligncenter" title="Ajebo Hustlers" src="data:;base64,” alt=”Ajebo Hustlers” width=”790″ height=”988″ data-original=”https://ocdn.eu/pulscms-transforms/1/mH9ktkqTURBXy8wNzhmMjY5NjM0OGUzMWZhMWFmYzgyYjg2YjBkYzYzNy5qcGVnkpUDAADNEo_NFzKVAs0DFs0D3MLD” />

While their looks and style of music embrace the Port Harcourt tough boy exterior, Ajebo Hustlers often takes off this exterior to display a more emotional side. This exploration of tender matters of the heart forms a bulk of the album as Ajebo Hustlers provide an update on their pursuit of romantic desires.

On ‘Bad Boy Etiquette 102’, Ajebo Hustlers balances their sonics and ideology with guest artists who offer stock versions of themselves.

Odumodublvck’s hyper-masculine rap style is complimented by Knowledge’s calm narrative style on ‘Celine Dion’ where Piego’s melodies shine as they blur the lines between love and lust.

On ‘Kisses II’ they recruited the Magixx, an artist who loves to deep into his emotions to discuss matters of the heart as they admit that even a bad boy can fall hard.

If listeners learn anything from Ajebo Hustlers’ pursuit of romantic bliss, it’s that it has been far from successful. On the Afro-Swing record ‘Sweet & Sour,’ they combine with Ghanaian superstar King Promise with whom they let out the pain of having a lover with one foot outside the door.

Listeners get to share Ajebo Hustlers’ painful experience in pursuit of love on ‘Wicked’. The women question will get a chance to have their say thanks to Raebel‘s captivating vocals on the Konto bounce ‘Undecided’ where she accused Knowledge and Piego of being equally hot and cold even as they roll out smooth bars and fine melodies in impressive sweet-talking.

The art of being a Bad Boy requires introspection and self-awareness. Ajebo Hustlers makes this clear on the rap record ‘No Wam’ where they promise that two can play the game. On the highlife strings of ‘Burn My Cable II,’ where Sarkodie leaves his mark with his trademark flows, Knowledge shares the fuck boy accusations he faces while making no attempt to defend himself.

On ‘Bad Boy Etiquette 102’ Ajebo Hustlers offers insights into the making of a shrewd young man. By drawing from the realities that forge their talent and drive their ambition, Ajebo Hustlers makes music that captures the nuances of the bad boy lifestyle amidst the continuous pursuit of pleasure. Placing ‘Dreams II’ as the album opener symbolises that personal ambition is superior to emotional and sexual desires while also emphasising the need for confidence and self-awareness in the continuous pursuit of success, love, and happiness.

Tinubu lacks power to reinstate you – South South leader, Sara-Igbe hits 27 Rivers lawmakers.

The National Coordinator of the South-South Leadership Forum, Sara-Igbe has said that the 27 Rivers State lawmakers are impostors in the eyes of the law.

DAILY POST reports that the crisis in Rivers politics intensified on Wednesday following the election of a new Speaker by two members of the House of Assembly loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

This is following the move to impeach Governor Fubara by the pro-Wike lawmakers who defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Sara-Igbe said they have no right to impeach Fubara, citing that by the virtue of the law, they are now seen as impostors.

He said this during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday, insisting that President Tinubu also lacks the right to “overrule a court of competent jurisdiction.”

“The people who call themselves members of the House of Assembly as honourables, are not honourable enough.

“An honorable person is one who stands by his word. In this instance, we have not seen that in them. If you cannot obey laws and you are a lawmaker, who will obey your law.

“We see them as impostors because by virtue of section 109 (F), they are no longer members of the House of Assembly and that is why the elders of Rivers State, including myself, went to court.

“Unfortunately, the chief judge took the case from the Judge that it was assigned to and gave it to the judge of the former governor who did not even listen to us.

“We are saying those 27 lawmakers are no longer members of the House of Assembly, this is before the court and by virtue of the rule of law, if a case is before a court, status quo remains; everyone will wait for the judges to make a decision. I expected the House of Assembly members who are making laws to wait for the judiciary to interpret the law.

“They went ahead to be reeling out laws; laws that they could not do when Wike was the governor, laws they amended to suit Wike’s administration, now they want to change it because they feel Sim is not in the same book with them nor taking orders from their master. We are saying they cannot put legality on illegality.

“Mr. President does not have powers under the democracy, particularly the 1999 constitution, to direct a governor who was elected the same way he was elected. The president does not have power to overrule a court of competent jurisdiction.

“The whole process is illegal; they are no longer members of the House of Assembly; their seats have been declared vacant and a court of competent jurisdiction has accepted that verdict.

“So, I don’t know what they are still waiting for and they did not appeal. They ran to the president and gave him a script to read for them.

“The Rivers people are saying the script is illegal because as far as we are concerned, the Assembly members cannot do anything except they want River State to burn. We are saying the whole eight points of Mr. President is illegal.”

Rapper Skales compares himself to King Solomon, says he has dated 100 women

He acknowledges that he’s a different person now.

Skales

Skales made this revelation in an interview on the Drip Check At The Nike Store show, hosted by Sheye Banks. During the interview, he was asked to put a figure on the number of women he has dated so far and he said about 100 women.

“I’ve dated about 100 women or so. If I wasn’t married I would probably be on the King Solomon path,” he started.

Likening himself to the Biblical king who had 700 wives and 300 concubines, the father of one explained that back when he was younger and single, he met different women and was well on that path.

“Let me explain. I’m in a different situation right now but back then I just couldn’t get enough of women. Women are endless, you know? You keep going to the streets and you see women everywhere bro. As at then, I would have been like King Solomon. You know he had like so many wives and how many concubines. This guy used to travel and take ships to meet these women.”

Skales acknowledged the fault in his previous ways and lifestyles, confessing that he lost good women as a result of it.

He said, “I did a lot of childish things back then. What do you expect from a teenager that had a lot of fame and lots of access to women? There are a lot of good women that I lost because of my childish mentality or behaviour and stuff like that. I’m becoming a better man now.”

INTERVIEW: Minimum wage: FG, labour dialogue ‘economics of a farm’ – Ex-presidential candidate, Adebayo

INTERVIEW: Minimum wage: FG, labour dialogue ‘economics of a farm’ – Ex-presidential candidate, Adebayo.

Amid the raging arguments between the Federal Government and the Organized Labour about the propriety or otherwise of an upward review in the national minimum wage and the appropriate amount, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 presidential election, Prince Adewole Adebayo, describes the dialogue as an economics of the farm.

“They are behaving in a micro economic way. They are talking within their industry alone. Both sides have their negotiating tactics. Some of the numbers they are throwing around may appear unrealistic to them. But, my message to them is to let them know that this debate arose not from the adequate wages, but from the problems of purchasing power,” he stated.

In this interview with DAILY POST, he also spoke about the biting fuel crisis in the country, and the way forward, among other issues.

You were quoted to that have said that minimum wage in a regime of maximum cost of living and no minimum guarantee of social safety net in galloping inflation, is a pantomime of self deceit; a reality show in which neither the government negotiators nor the labour leaders negotiating wages live on their own official wages. What do you mean by that statement?

In economics, the dialogue between the labour unions and the government with regard to increase in workers’ wages is simply economics of a farm. They are behaving in a micro economic way. They are talking within their industry alone. Both sides have their negotiating tactics. Some of the numbers they are throwing around may appear unrealistic to them.

But my message to them is to let them know that this debate arose not from the adequate wages, but from the problems of purchasing power. When you listen to the president of Trade union Congress, TUC, Mr Osifo, and all the comparatives he was giving, even though he was talking about micro economics in terms of what his members need to get from their employers, you will understand that they are not talking about the overall economy.

What is causing price instability for them is the purchasing power of the Naira. There are two ways to help the purchasing power of the Naira. One, you can stabilise the currency itself. This will help you to kill hyper-inflation and inflation so that the Naira, from January to December, can maintain its purchasing power.

The second thing you can do is to come from the welfaristic point of view to realise what the workers are worried about. What exactly do they spend their money on?

If the average worker has access to housing, say at seven percent of his salary, has access to medical care at five percent of his salary, has access to education of four to five children at six percent of his salary and now deal only with food and issue of transportation by virtue of you having employment, you have access card which I grew up to know in Lagos State during the late Lateef Jakande administration, that is Lagos State Transport Corporation, LSTC.

So, if you have all these things packaged, say 25 percent to 35 percent of your salary, then, you won’t worry too much about this argument of figures. If you have a million workers out of over 200 million people, or if 37 governments will need up to a million workers to run their services, you will be spending N615 billion every month, meaning that in a year, you will be spending about N8 trillion just paying minimum wages; it doesn’t make any sense.

Now, if they cut it by half, it still doesn’t make any sense. If they cut it by one-third, one-quarter, it still makes no sense. At the end of the day, let’s say there is a magical space where you are just printing money, the way N615,000 sounds today is not the way it will sound in four years. Mr. Osifo or his successor will come back to say N615,000 is a joke. It can’t take us anywhere.

So, the intervention we are making is that you are solving the problem at the pricing of labour. You cannot solve the problem there because it is too narrow a space. Where you can solve the problem is the amount of social investments you need to make in the economy, such that the employed, the semi employed and the unemployed, who are either skilled, highly skilled or low skilled, will have a minimum floor below which you cannot fall.

Talking about the social security investments, the Tinubu administration said it has started to re-engineer the social security and welfare of the people. Do you think the government has started on a good path?

We don’t have the same ideology, but they are throwing money on non-existent products; that is where I have disagreement with them.

Whether you pay salary, allowance or grants, as we did during the Udoji Award, when people were given loans and all that. Remember that during the Udoji award, once people got it, they ran to UTC to buy bicycles, and the price of bicycles skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, in China, if you join the civil service, they will not give you any Udoji Award; they will give you bicycles because the bicycles come with the job. If you were in the colonial government and you were an assistant district officer, school officer, health officer, forest rangers, or PWD, all these things were tools. When you were getting the job, they would direct you to the staff quarters, and tell you that this is the school your child should go to.

So, how do you guarantee those basic supplies like education, shelter, and healthcare because these are basic needs that people scamper to get?

We have to organise our politics and government around them. What we are doing now is that we are organising our politics and government around sharing money. In Abuja, the states come to share, and the local governments under the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) come to share. The TUC and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) also came to collect their own share. It is still the principle of sharing money, not sharing value or creating anything.

Remember, if you are talking about stakeholders in the country, labour is superior and senior to the government of the day. I can be president tomorrow, and still meet labour there, because it is permanent and the social services, including everything you want to run to make life easy for labour is to be done by labour members themselves.

If this government is to start on a note that is sustainable, what would you say is the best and practical step to take?

The best steps are social investments. First, stop worrying about who is a worker or who is not. They have to first look at Chapter 2 of the constitution and say if by virtue of that section of the constitution which gives them the mandate to govern Nigeria, they have been able to fulfil the promises inside the constitution? What is the minimum that Nigerians should expect from the government, and do we have the resources to put them there?

By that, you now know that you need new hospital beds and new roads. During the second Republic, all the governors understood these social investment elements, and that is why all the state governments had their own school boards, scholarship boards, and water resources, such that water gets to houses even in rural areas. What we are doing now is monetary government where we share money and we assume that there is availability.

For example, Mr. Osifo, who is an important person in Nigerian leadership, is assuming that because you are collecting three times more money in FAAC now than in 2019, that there is availability, not knowing that seven times the cost now is not up to what you were collecting before. This is the illusion of money because it is not the amount of money you collect that matters, but the purchasing power of the money and the allocative efficiency in economics.

So, you will see that a state in the North with 20 percent of revenue of the states in the Niger-Delta is making more progress because its allocative efficiency is better, while the other state may be spending its own money on politics and things like that.

Are you saying the social investments must come as a package at the point of employment?

The way our constitution is crafted, it is not related to your job. It is related to your being a citizen. While I was growing up, I schooled in Lagos and Ondo under Jakande and Ajasin. I was too young to be employed by anybody. I was about five years old in primary school, and as such, I was not employable, but the government was interested before we started class whether I had eaten or not. When we got to school, the first thing they would give us was bread, beans, and milk. When they were chasing you around in primary school to give you that inoculation, it wasn’t that you were going to be employed by them, it was required that the government made sure you were not blind or crippled.

For over one week now, Nigerians have battled with fuel scarcity; a development that has worsened the socio-economic situation of many households in Nigeria. If you were President Tinubu, what would you be doing to address the fuel crisis at the moment?

What I will do is to broaden the philosophy. Don’t follow the party manifesto. Follow the constitution. Know that if you want to be president, you must follow Chapter 2 of the constitution. If we follow that, Nigeria will be a different country.

The singer appeared as a guest on the recent episode of the Way Up podcast hosted by Angela Yee, where she was asked about the recent drama she was caught in with the producer.

Simi revealed that while she was being defended by her husband Adekunle Gold, and her fans, she was rather confused and unfazed by the producer’s outburst.

“I don’t know why these people keep talking about me. Even when you look at what they’re saying, you can’t pick anything from it and I’m still confused. I was talking to my friend about this and I was like ‘I don’t feel anything about this and it doesn’t impact me. I don’t have anything to hide. The whole thing is all comedy to me,'” she explained.

The artiste also spoke about people who defended her on the basis that she was a married woman, stressing that when it comes to being respected by others, the reasons should not be because she is married or a mother, but simply because she deserves it.

“I saw a lot of people defending me and saying ‘Why would he be talking to a married woman like that?’ You don’t respect me just because I’m married. You are to respect me because I deserve to be respected. I have also seen people defending me and saying ‘She has a kid don’t do that.’ I say, ‘Don’t do that to me, period.'”

Recall that on May 6, Samklef accused her of being ungrateful and setting him up for online dragging. At the time, Adekunle Gold warned him against speaking about his wife and her fans came to her defence as well.

Speaking to the host about the matter, Simi stated that she simply had nothing to say about it.

“It seems like I should have more to say about this but there’s really nothing to say. I feel like they say these things because they want some kind of attention and that’s why I have nothing to contribute. These things shouldn’t be happening you know. But I take it all in strides and keep it moving,” she said.

Simi shares why she chose to call her song with Tiwa Savage 'Men Are Crazy'

While appearing in an interview on Way Up With Angela Yee, Simi addressed the controversy generated by the title of her collaboration with Tiwa Savage.

Simi stated that she had no intentions of explaining her reason behind the title ‘Men Are Crazy’ after the announcement generated negative reactions from some male observers online. According to the award-winning singer, she was going to wait till the song dropped as it would better explain the title.

“I honestly wasn’t going to go on an explaining spree at the time. I was like when the song comes out they will see what I’m trying to say,” Simi shared.

She also acknowledged that the online reaction the title caused also contributed to the track’s rollout as it increased anticipation.

Simi further shared that Tiwa Savage softened up the message in the song through her lyrics “Men are crazy but I still want one in my bed” as she was planning to simply leave it at “men are crazy”.

‘Men Are Crazy’ follows the release of ‘All I Want’ released in February 2024 and both songs are a precursor to her new album expected to be released later in the year.

During the interview, Simi also addressed the recent situation of her Adekunle Gold defending her on social media during a back-and-forth with producer Samklef.

Mavin Records celebrates 12 years of impacting the Nigerian music industry

On May 8, 2012, legendary music producer Don Jazzy introduced the world to Mavin Records.

Mavin Records clocks 12 years of impacting the Nigerian music industry

From Mavin’s storied come-up to the rich history of its emergence on the global music landscape, there’s no denying the label’s pivotal role in shaping Afrobeats – both as an industry and as a genre.

Founded in 2012 by Don Jazzy, Mavin Records emerged as a beacon of creativity and talent in the African music scene. Building on the legacy of the now-defunct Mo Hits Records, Don Jazzy’s vision for the future of Afrobeat took flight, propelling Mavin Records to unprecedented heights.

Over the past 12 years, Mavin Records has been a nurturing ground for some of Afrobeats’ most iconic artists, producers, and industry professionals. Across generations, the label has led from the front, positioning itself as a viable platform for global stars like Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Korede Bello, and more in the early 2010s. Now, the same label is currently home to Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Johnny Drille, Crayon, Bayanni, Boy Spyce, Lifesize Teddy & DJ Big N.

In a bid for inclusivity and to support every facet of the industry’s creativity, in 2022, Mavin added producers – Andre Vibez, Jvxn, Prestige, Sevn – and songwriters – Mbryo and Milar – to its already enviable roster. In the same vein, the label also remains dedicated to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders through initiatives like the Mavin Future Five program. By providing aspiring music professionals with hands-on experience and mentorship, Mavin Records is leading the present vanguard of music stars while shaping the future of the music industry.

Label Founder, Don Jazzy is reflective in his comment; “It is a landmark year in so many ways. We are grateful to everyone who has been instrumental in our success in the past 12 years. We are building a legacy together- for Nigeria, for Africa, and the global music community.”

Chief Operating Officer Tega Oghenejobo adds; ‘’We are proud of what we have accomplished so far as a team but we remain ambitious still. There is more work to be done as we break more talents, expand to more territories, and contribute our quota to the development of Africa and her extremely talented human capital’’.

As Mavin Records celebrates its 12th anniversary, the label continues to push the boundaries of creativity and excellence. Universal Music which is the biggest music label in the world recently acquired a majority stake in Mavin Record in a multi million dollar deal that underscores the company’s status as Nigeria’s leading record label.

We will rectify voter registration errors during exhibition exercise – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) has assured the public that any errors made during the ongoing limited voter registration process will be corrected during the Voters Exhibition Exercise.

This assurance comes in response to a viral video showing a new Voter ID Card with errors, indicating registration in Kasoa, Central Region, while the District is listed as Ayawaso North in Greater Accra Region.

In a press release signed by Acting Director of Public Affairs, Michael Boadu on May 8, the EC acknowledged such errors as common and said the Commission will do the necessary corrections.

He said EC will allow registered voters to correct their details from Monday, July 15, to July 24.

“The attention of the Electoral Commission has been drawn to a new Voter ID Card circulating on social media indicating that the bearer of the card registered at Kasoa in the Central Region. The card gives the bearer’ s residential address as Kasoa in the Central Region and the District as Ayawaso North in the Greater Accra Region.

“Our investigations have revealed that, this was a result of an error by the Data Entry Clerk. This phenomenon is not unusual. It is for this reason that the law makes provision for voters to correct any errors with their data, during the Voters Exhibition Exercise.

“From Monday 15th July to Wednesday 24th July, 2024, voters will have the opportunity to review and correct any errors with their registration details,” the release read.

The EC further reiterated its commitment to fulfilling its duties.

4 sweet ways happy couples stay blissfully in love

Couple holding hands

Do you ever wish you had a “happy marriage” cheat sheet? A few easy-to-remember tips that help keep your love strong?  In a world that squeezes out fun and crams in more stressful demands, what are the secrets of couples who stay in love and those who fall out of love?  In a love and marriage survey of over 8,000 participants over the age of 50, the happiest couples shared these tidbits.

Here are 4 sweet ways happy couples stay blissfully in love:

1. Indulge in PDA regularly

Seventy-three percent of the happiest couples indulge in public displays of affection at least a couple of times per month. Here’s a tip, find your inner racy teenager and add some thrill by laying on a juicy kiss at a park or restaurant. Seeing couples display their affection is infectious and generally makes other people happy.

2. Say those three special words

Eighty-five percent say “I love you” at least once a week. Who says it more, men or women? Men! More than 90 percent of men say those three sweet words regularly, while 58 percent of women do. If you truly want to raise the temperature of your love, express your heart often!

3. Keep your kisses steamy

Seventy-four percent of the happiest couples exchange a passionate kiss at least once a week, while 38 percent of dissatisfied couples do not kiss passionately at all anymore. Try deep slow hugs and passionate kisses to release “feel good” brain chemicals and unite you two emotionally. When passionate intentional touch is mutually shared regularly it feels like a deep breath — like coming home.

4. Prioritise alone time

Of the “extremely happy” couples, 88 percent plan regular alone time while 32 percent of disengaged couples say they rarely ever have date nights. The problem is, that couples need time to relax and have fun together. This is the kind of time most couples have together when they fall in love, and it is the nourishment you regularly need to keep that “connected” feeling.

Put together, the happiest couples, say it, show it, and carve out time for it; just like they did when they were dating or first married. What nourished those “feel good” emotions in the beginning can continue to keep you coming back for more. There are many areas of life we put ongoing effort — preparing nutritious food, time to get active, and time with a friend. To keep the love juices flowing — to make more love — you need to act on it publicly and privately, with heart and body. And often! Here’s your perfect excuse to focus on more fun and more pleasure. It’s doctor’s orders!
