The Afrobeats scene continues to shine on the international stage, with Nigerian music stars delivering captivating performances at Afro Nation Detroit. The festival, held on August 17-18, 2024, drew thousands of fans eager to see their favorite artists.
Among the standout performances were those by Ayra Starr, who wowed the crowd with both her hit singles and tracks from her latest album, The Year I Turned 21. Rema also took to the stage, performing his chart-topping singles and selections from his new album, HEIS. Asake, known for his energetic live shows, delivered a set featuring hits from his freshly released album, Lungu Boy.
Kizz Daniel and Adekunle Gold also impressed the audience with a mix of their popular tracks. The festival wasn’t just about Afrobeats, though; it featured a diverse lineup, including Jamaican artist Shenseea, Detroit rapper Kashdoll, and Grammy-winning superstar Lil Wayne, who headlined the second day of the event.
